His enthusiasm for fusing contrasting musical traditions can be seen in the work, Endangered Species, written for African drumming group and orchestra, which was premiered at the Royal Festival Hall by the London Philharmonic Orchestra in 2004 and again in 2006 at the Barbican Centre. His epic song Celebrate was commissioned by the London Philharmonic to celebrate their 75th Anniversary and has been performed regularly since 2007.
